"Chilean Gold" is the second episode of Gold Rush: South America. It originally aired on August 9, 2013.

SummaryEdit

After bad road conditions pushed the Hoffman Crew on from Peru, they arrive in Chile, and start prospecting in the Atacama Desert. They select a site on at Chipana Beach along the Pacific Ocean. It is located 3-hours form the nearest town. Failing to find worthwhile amounts of gold with Little Fred washplant, the skidsteer loader and backhoe loader, they push on again.

NotesEdit

A film crew member, Jack, cuts off his index finger with a chop saw, which had a defective guard. This is detailed in the aftershow, The Ends of the Earth.
